Owen Strachan has some thoughtful posts here and here concerning the use of Twitter (Twitter is akin to updating one's status on Facebook).
Thabiti posts on technology and community.
Josh Harris only lasted a week on Facebook. He updated this post to say that he is now back on, for the purpose of prayer for his ministry, and to endorse his book and his conference book tour. Sort of ironically, the reason he originally left was due to Facebook's tendency to foster self-promotion.
Justin Buzzard offers biblical guidance for Facebook users.

B,
Interesting post. I will get to reading those articles soon. Did you happen to come across the "Technology and the Local Church" audio from last week? Stinson had us go to it for class and well, I am asking for a webcam for Xmas. ;)
You should check it out though if you haven't already.
Peace
E
Hey bro,
I listened to the talk. Call me a puritan, but I wish he would have used the platform to speak to the negative aspects of such technology (which in my mind out-weigh the positive). I would go into such a talk assuming that young people already jump at any and all oppurtunities to think and talk of self. I think the last thing Christ's church needs is ministers being distracted by unneccessary things that are already neglected (evangelism, discipleship, sermon prep, and the reading of good books. What was your take?
